Rhopoint Nordic was established over 10 years ago as a distributor of precision resistors and passive electronic components have formed a core of the company ever since, although our portfolio has grown considerably. Apart from vast range of resistors in virtually any resistance rating, we also offer a selection of thermistors and inrush current limiters, capacitors, digital isolators, high quality reed relays including the high voltage options, reed switches and products based on the reed switch technology such as flow and float switches for liquid level management, and much more.
We have long standing relationships with most of our carefully selected manufacturing partners, to ensure that our customers only receive quality components suitable for long term designing-in. Our sales engineers all have background in electronics and working knowledge of the electronic components, reinforced by regular training from the manufacturers themselves, so our in-house knowledge is always up to date. That is why we can speak to the design engineers and help them find, price and design-in a solution for their application.
We understand that reading through endless datasheets and looking for an off-the-shelf component that will tick all the boxes is a tedious task. Our team can help whatever your application - they can not only propose a suitable existing model where available, but also offer customised solutions. Majority of our manufacturing partners are able to customise their standard products at no, or very little, extra cost - whether a custom resistance rating, TCR, VCR or tolerance values, lead length or terminations.

The ADR 1-dial resistance box series from Alpha Electronics offers a range of standard resistors which are ideally suited for repetitive daily work. The single dial system means the resistance is easily switched from one value to another. This greatly improves work efficiency and helps to avoid mistakes, which may happen when using a 6-dial decade standard resistor. They are ideally suited for RTD simulation for platinum (Pt) related products and conductive meters.
The resistance elements utilise Bulk Metal® Foil technology and the connections to the rotary switch are made by using 4-terminal junctions. This ensures that high precision, high stability and low temperature coefficients are achieved.
The ADR-1xxx 1-Dial resistance box is fully customisable. Up to 24 different resistance values can be set into the box.
The ADR-1xxx series has a weight of approximately 1kg and dimensions of 100mm x 150mm x 80mm.

The ADR 6-dial decade resistance box series from Alpha Electronics, with 6½ digit readings, features ultra precision resistors, low contact resistance rotary switches, low thermal EMF output terminals and the double shielded construction. There are 5 models of the ADR 6-dial decade resistance box available, each offering different resistance ranges starting from 0.1Ω minimum to 1.111210KΩ maximum up to 10Ω minimum to 11.11110MΩ maximum.
All resistors used in this Decade Resistance Box are from the ultra precision Bulk Metal® Foil resistors manufactured by Alpha Electronics, assuring high stability over time and environment change.
The rotary switches have very low contact resistance which is achieved by connecting three clip-type contacts in parallel. This method also ensures a higher mechanical reliability. Low thermal EMF output terminals use a low thermal resistance rectangular wire circuit configuration. A double shielded construction inhibits interference of environmental noise.
The ADR 6-dial resistance box series has a weight of approximately 4.5kg and dimensions of 430mm x 140mm x 99mm.

The ASR series from Alpha Electronics is an extremely stable standard resistor. It utilises their Ni/Cr alloy Bulk Metal® Foil technology for the resistive elements, which helps provide high stability and a low temperature coefficient. With the extreme stability of this resistor relative to temperature change, the ASR can be used in air without the need of an oil bath or critical environmental temperature control, eliminating added operation and maintenance costs.
Due to Alpha Electronics long-term experience in developing and enhancing ultra-stable Bulk Metal® Foil technology, they are able to provide products with consistency of performance under strict quality control. The ASR is designed to be used in a wide range of environments; from making precise measurements on the production floor, to providing corporate traceability as a calibration and reference standard.
The resistors are mounted within a compact and sturdy box. A cover is provided to protect the resistors and connection terminals from damage during transport and storage.
